Encouraging the Church

Desiring to promote encourage believers to think about life within the context of the Bible, I birthed this blog in 2013. I attempt to accomplish this mission in three ways.

Peter W

First, I regularly seek to bring the theology of Jesus to bear upon issues that profoundly shape the local church, American culture, and the world. I happily and unashamedly appeal to the Scriptures as my authority when writing. In many ways 2 Timothy 2:16-17 is the foundation of thinking. It says,

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. – 2 Timothy 2:16-17

These blogs have been featured on Family Research Council website, the Historical Theology Website, and Credo Magazine Website.

Second, this website features some theological insights from my late wife, April Witkowski. Her life and theological insights often complemented and enriched my own understandings of Scripture.

Third, the blog houses the blogs that chronicled April’s fight with stage four breast cancer. She lost her fight on June 25, 2022. Those old post reflect the very essence of our hearts as they wrestled with God in the midst of suffering. I hope the testimony of God’s grace in my life and of God’s faithfulness to dearest April encourages your faith. Thanks for reading, praying, and loving me and my little family!
