My Mission

Encouraging the Church

Desiring to promote biblical thinking, I birthed this blog in 2013.  I attempt to accomplish this mission in three ways.

First, I regularly seek to bring the theology of Jesus to bear upon issues that profoundly shape the local church, American culture, and the world. I happily and unashamedly appeal to the Scriptures as my authority when writing. In many ways 2 Timothy 2:16-17 is the foundation of thinking. It says,

All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. – 2 Timothy 2:16-17

These blogs have been featured on the Family Research Council website and at HistoricalTheology.org

Second, I feature the theological insights of my lovely bride, April Witkowski, which complement and improve upon my thoughts.

Third, April and I also use this blog to post updates about April’s fight with stage four breast cancer. Those updates go hand and hand with the theology discussed here as the challenge of her cancer provides us with a meaningful way to live out the faith we champion. We hope the testimony of God’s grace in our lives encourages your faith. Thanks for reading, praying, and loving us and our little family!
